Cuddy & Feder’s Cannabis Law Practice group attorneys Kristen Motel, Sharon Cooper, Richard Sandor, Tiffany Montouth, and Maximillian Mahalek submitted comments on New York’s draft Adult-Use Cannabis regulations to the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM).
The group commented on provisions related to the permitted distance between dispensaries, transfer of licenses and estate planning implications, the ability of financiers to secure a loan, and preemptions on municipality rulemaking.
The public comment period for the proposed regulations closed on Monday, February 13, 2023.
