Cuddy & Feder Partner Anthony B. Gioffre III and Associate Charles J. Gottlieb recently obtained zoning approvals from the New Rochelle City Council amending the city’s waterfront zoning regulations. The changes will allow redevelopment on portions of Davenport Neck which has long been known for its beach clubs on Long Island Sound. The zoning amendments will now allow luxury multifamily housing adding to a reinvigorated New Rochelle waterfront. The amendments were crafted to balance the reality that certain waterfront clubs are struggling economically while still addressing quality of life for current and future residents of Davenport Neck. A copy of these recent changes to the City’s zoning can be found here.
