Cuddy & Feder Land Use Attorney Anthony F. Morando assisted Central Hudson Gas & Electric in obtaining site plan approvals and related permits from the Town of Wappinger Planning Board and the Village of Wappinger Falls Planning Board, respectively, to reconstruct an existing electric transmission line. The total length of this infrastructure project is approximately 6.3 miles, with 5.9 miles within the Town of Wappinger and 0.4 miles within the Village of Wappingers Falls. By replacing aged equipment and reconstructing an existing transmission line that is beyond its useful life with equipment that meets current standards and industry best practices, the project will provide enhanced storm hardening to accommodate potential extreme storm events and future weather patterns, enhanced lightning protection, and increased electric transmission supply reliability.
