Bill served on a panel titled “Successful Public Private Partnerships for Affordable Housing.” Other panelists included Vivian McKenzie, Mayor of Peekskill; Ken Regan, Vice President of Regan Development Corporation; and Eric Warren from the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Corporation, Empire State Development Corporation.
The panel delved into the crucial topic of how local governments can effectively collaborate with the private sector to foster the development of affordable housing initiatives. Throughout the discussion, various facets of partnership dynamics were explored, spanning from the intricate processes of land acquisition to the complexities of financing and navigating land use regulation for successful projects.
