Partner Neil J. Alexander obtained land use entitlements from the City of Poughkeepsie Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals including use and area variances as well as site plan approval for the construction of a 40-unit multifamily project in two modern apartment buildings on what was formerly a vacant 1.43 acre lot in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Neil also was instrumental in negotiating a straight lease transaction with the City of Poughkeepsie Industrial Development Agency for economic development incentives including a PILOT. Further, the firm also helped secure HUD Home financing and a construction loan through Rhinebeck Bank.
The development, affectionately known as the “Heart of the Block,” is located on 472 Maple Street in the City of Poughkeepsie. It will include several affordable housing units as well as the market rate apartments.
