White Plains, NY – July 22, 2022 – Cuddy & Feder is pleased to announce that Kristen Motel, Partner in the firm’s Land Use, Environmental and Telecommunications practice groups was recently appointed to serve as Chair of the Cannabis Law group. Eon S. Nichols, Partner in the firm’s Real Estate, Corporate, Finance and Non-Profit Groups will serve as Vice-Chair.
Kristen frequently appears before municipal land use boards and permitting agencies to secure approvals for clients in numerous controversial projects. She is uniquely suited to guide applicants through the state cannabis application process and represent clients in municipal forums to obtain land use approvals. She is an active member of the Hudson Valley Cannabis Industry Association and the Westchester County Bar Association’s Cannabis Law Committee. She has presented as a panelist on local land use and municipal considerations related to New York’s adult-use cannabis legislation.
Eon’s practice includes all aspects of real estate and corporate transactions, including financing, leasing and formation of corporate entities. As Vice-Chair of the Cannabis Law Practice Team, Eon is excited to apply the practice he has developed for nearly two decades to help clients in this newly emerging field with corporate formation, governance, employment agreement, real estate transactions and other related legal business needs. He frequently speaks on various real estate and financing topics and has represented clients with all aspects of their business needs.
