The Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) announced that the next application window for Type 3 Processor Licenses is scheduled to open on February 26th. Along with this news, OCM said it will re-open the window for accepting transitional applications for AUCCs (Adult-use Conditional Cultivator) and ACUPs (Adult-Use Conditional Processor) on February 26th.
The Type 3 Processor License applies to companies branding or packaging cannabis, as well as those companies only seeking to enter into white labeling agreements in New York State. In December, the OCM clarified that the Type 3 Processor license is the white labeling license that is required for companies to put their label on a cannabis product that has already been produced, and sell it to the market.
During this application window, AUCCs and AUCPs can apply to transition to a non-conditional license before the majority of conditional licenses expire in June.
With less than 3 weeks until the application window opens, it is important for businesses to act promptly in preparing their application materials. The attorneys in Cuddy & Feder’s Cannabis Law Group are ready to assist applicants in navigating the application process.
