On behalf of the New York State Wireless Association Board of Directors, thank you for joining us in NYC for our inaugural Town Hall Meeting.
A central part of NYSWA’s mission since its formation in 2007 has been to actively engage at all levels of New York government and provide a unified voice for the wireless industry. To that end, NYSWA comments and advocates for the wireless industry in state and municipal regulatory proceedings, hosts periodic community educational events featuring experts in mobile and leads an annual delegation to the capitol in Albany to meet with state legislators. In talking with many of NYSWA’s members, represented by over 3000 professionals and 700 companies, the association recognizes the need and is committed to do even more to collaborate with state and local governments to advance the next generation of mobile networks.
This first NYSWA Town Hall Meeting expands on our commitment to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between our industry and the public sector. We are really excited and honored to have with us today two preeminent speakers who are leaders and innovators in their own right. Allan Tantillo and Alphonso Jenkins are on the cutting edge of mobile technology, municipal policy and how to advance network deployments so critical to the smart city and 5G services of tomorrow. I encourage you to actively participate in today’s meeting which promises to be an interactive and informative event.
Like what you see and hear? Then join us again at two of our most popular and signature events: the NYSWA Holiday Social on December 8th and Wireless Forum 2017 in June, both of which will be back in NYC at iconic venues. Visit our website for complete details and additional information, including ways to participate in NYSWA’s Regulatory Committee which put together the Town Hall Meeting.
