Partner, William S. Null, on behalf of Norden Lofts, LLC received approval from the Common Council of the City of White Plains on March 7, 2016 for the adaptive re-use and redevelopment of an existing 48,000 square foot industrial building situated at 121 Westmoreland Avenue in White Plains. This area of the City was recently rezoned to the LI-M Zoning District to encourage the transformation of the area from industrial to residential. The Site fronts on Westmoreland Avenue, comprises 34,041 square feet of property and abuts the Metro-North railroad right-of-way to the northwest. This project constitutes the first in the City to take advantage of the benefits of the new zoning classification converting an existing industrial building to 65 residential apartments located about one-half mile walking distance to the White Plains’ train station and convenient to the Central Business District (CBD).
